Youth Edition
On Sunday, January 20, 2019, Nykisha Brooks and I host a Vision Board Craft Party for the local youth ages 5-17 between the hours of 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm at the Mt. Hope Community Center located in Southern Maryland.
The purpose of the vision board craft party was to teach children of all ages the importance of jump-starting the year by setting goals while also reminding them of the power they have to fulfill their dreams. All attendees received vision board making materials, snacks, and prizes. A free event the entire family enjoyed.
The Vision Board Craft Party Youth Edition was sold-out in four days. The cold fridge temperature didn’t stop the families from traveling to spend the day with us. One of the most amazing parts of the party was watching moms, dads, aunts, uncles, and grandparents participate in assisting the children in the goal-setting activities which make for a good bonding experience.
One goal Nykisha and I have in common is to give back to our local community in the year 2019. We decided to partner our businesses together to solidify a more significant impact. We’ve flourished professionally due to the enormous support of our family, friends, and clients. By hosting our 1st Annual Vision Board Craft Party Youth Edition, we wanted to say “Thank You” to those who patronize our businesses as well as become familiar with other Southern Maryland residents.
