Exciting times are upon us. Entering a new year brings forth inspiration, motivation, and self-empowerment. Here is our chance to leave the past behind and embrace a fresh start. It’s what we do in the new year right? We make plans to set goals to establish new beginnings through our resolutions. Which is often the charge we need to reset our battery packs as we hope to evolve in the next year ahead. Some people write out their goals for the year. Then there are others like myself who choose to create a vision board as a symbol of a lifestyle makeover.
What is a Vision Board?
A vision board is a tool used to help clarify, concentrate and maintain focus on a specific life goal. A vision board is any board on which you display images that represent whatever you want to be, do or have in your life. -Google
Creating With A Purpose.
The primary purpose of why many of us make new years resolutions is to try to set ourselves up to live an impactful life. Within our hearts, we’ve all said, “When I grow up I want to be…” and just because we are now adults doesn’t mean our dreams are no longer relevant to us. They are just as important now than they’ve ever been before. When we decide to pave our way that will lead to a life we’ve always wanted, just like asphalt and concrete are the glue that keeps the road together, combining a well thought out plan and a blueprint to execute that plan is the glue to a purpose driven life — the true definition of self-empowerment.
Creating A Meaningful Vision Board.
There are two critical components needed before creating a meaningful vision board. The first component is Brainstorm: What is the goal for the year? Secondly, Plan: Create a strategy to execute the plan. Don’t forget to choose realistic goals. They will be more attainable to accomplish.

Putting time and effort into creating a vision board brings forth a personal connection with our ideas. My friends, I encourage you to choose images that motivate you, inspire you and are reasonable to accomplish. We have to protect our dreams. Don’t ever let anyone tell you-you can’t do something. Age is not a factor. Always remember, WE CAN DO ANYTHING WE SET OUR MINDS TO DO!
